| Firm Foundation Process 2006 January Church meeting approved the move of the current parsonage onto property the church currently owned & used for parking lot. The old foundation & chimney was crumbling & something needed to be done. February/March Contractors & movers were approved by the trustees. April/May Contractor met with trustees for plans on what needs were to be met. May/June New foundation was dug, walls poured & old foundation was under renovation. July Canen's moved out in mid month for utilities to be turned off. (The lived in an RV & used part of the church for cooking & living purposes.) Chimney, old wiring & plumbing had to be removed. August More demolition of old basement, out side steps & more construction of new took place. September On the 21st the movers showed up. It rained for two nights & one day straight. They left and returned on Monday the 25th. By Tuesday the 26th we were working in mud, but it happened. Moving took place throughout week. On Thursday the 28th, beams were removed & the house was on new foundation. October New plumbing, wiring, heating & cleaning are being worked on. On the 27th, Canen's moved back into the house! Plumbing, heating, & patching of walls are still being worked on. |
